# Multibanco
Multibanco is a popular offline payment method in the Portuguese market, allowing customers to pay for online orders via ATM or through their online banking account.
The customer completes the payment using:
* ATM machines
* Online banking
* Mobile banking applications
## Voucher Expiration
The payment voucher remains valid for 17 hours and is automatically cancelled afterward if the payment is not completed.

## Customer Flow
1. After filling in their personal details, the customer selects Multibanco as the payment method.
2. The customer receives an order confirmation along with a payment reference containing the following details:
* Entity – beneficiary identifier (5 digits)
* Reference – payment reference code (9 digits)
* Amount – payment amount
3. Once the payment is completed, the Global-e system receives a payment confirmation and advances the order status.
